HOME SWEET HOME

Summer's finally over. **sad face** But...we're "reunited and it feels soo good".  Thoughts on summer: Me- "BEST SUMMER EVER!" Jessica- "Summer?! I had no summer". So on to Fall.  On the plus side, we are definitely looking forward to cooler weather and our fave football teams kicking some butt! YAY FOR FALL! On the downside, school started. *BLAH!* School totally sucks.  I wish that I would have already graduated and had a big girl job, but God apparently has other plans for me.  HOWEVER, Jessica is loving the fact that school has started. Why you ask? Because it's her Senior year.  Yup, me = TOTALLY JEALOUS!!! She will graduate with her bachelors in Kinesiology, but being the champ that she is, she won't be done this year.  After this year, she will be taking a year off and then applying to PT school.  So prayers and good lucks for Jessica!! 

Now that we've been reunited and have had a little and I mean little time on our hands, we came to the decision that our apartment was sad.  We've almost been here for a year and it still didn't feel like home to us.  So we decided to do something about it.  It all started at Hobby Lobby.  We spent enough time at Hobby Lobby Saturday that some crafty ideas came to mind.    

OUR CRAFTY CREATIONS

We were awfully proud of these.  We thought they turned out pretty cute.  So now that we were on this  home decor kick, we decided to hit up Kohl's.  We got to Kohl's and really didn't even know what we were looking for but stumbled upon a cute rug.  We got home and of course decided that the rug was lonely.  Coffee table and curtains were definitely a must.  So it happened....

We definitely think our redecorating gave it more of a "homey" feel.  We're excited.  Yup excited for decorations. Doesn't take much.  

All summer Jessica, Whitney, and I felt like we needed a girls weekend.  With all of our busy schedules, that never happened. WELL....Whitney's boyfriend, and mine were both gone this past weekend.  So what did that mean? Yup, you guessed it. GIRLS WEEKEND!!!!! :) Friday was the triple D. Dinner, drinks, and dancing. Saturday was lunch, Orange Leaf frozen yogurt, crafts, and cards! It was a good weekend,besides the dogs not feeling well.  It ended with a bang with ribs and all the fixings at Ron and Pams! Hope everyone had a fun and safe Labor Day!
